Cadence to Hold News Conference/Luncheon at Inaugural CDNLive! User Conference

    WHO: Mike Fister, president and CEO of Cadence Design Systems,
         Inc. (NYSE:CDN) (Nasdaq:CDN) and other Cadence executives to
         hold news conference Sept. 12.

    WHAT: Registration is open for journalists to attend the news
          conference/luncheon at the inaugural CDNLive! Silicon Valley
          user conference, where top executives will discuss key 
          Cadence announcements.

          Journalists may also attend the conference's opening
          session featuring remarks by Fister and keynote speakers
          Bernard Meyerson, vice president and chief technologist,
          Systems & Technology Group, IBM, and Mark Edelstone,
          managing director and global leader for Semiconductor
          Research, Morgan Stanley.

          Journalists may register for one or both events at
          www.cadence.com/webforms/cdnlive_registration/. The news
          conference and opening session also will be available via
          audiocast at www.cadence.com/cdnlive/na/broadcast.aspx.

    WHEN: The news conference/luncheon begins at 10:15 a.m. The
          opening session begins at 8 a.m.

    WHERE: The news conference/luncheon will be at the Westin Santa
           Clara, at 5101 Great America Parkway, Santa Clara, Calif. 
           The opening session is in the theater at the Santa Clara
           Convention Center, next to the hotel.
